I GOT A NEW CAMERA! :D

I went to Staples today to 'just look' at the cameras to have an idea of what I want to get when I get my tax refund check. I really wasn't going to buy a camera today. I swear. But they had a beautiful Canon PowerShot SX500 IS on sale for $179. It was the last one in stock and is basically the highest-end digital camera before you get to the slr range. So I asked the lady if I could look at the book in the box to see what kind of settings it had and stuff and I didn't read it for 5 seconds before I decided to buy it. I also got a 32gb memory card and a 16gb memory stick (for my computer) to go along with it. Then I opened a credit card there and got another $15 off. And when it came time to ring it up, it ended up being only $149 instead of $179. So I'm like, there at the register, trying to hold in my glee and act like a normal person, which I managed to do until I got home and started using it and then the glee erupted all over the place, roflmao. I love this camera. Like, seriously, I'd marry it if it were a guy. I wish I could say I'm kidding - I'm not. It's got 30x optical zoom and 16 mega pixels and a rechargable battery and a pop-up flash and more settings than you can shake a stick at and I am just so damn happy right now I could die. I just got done taking pictures of all my jewelry for my jewelry shop on here (GO LOOK NAO) and I was squeeing like an idiot the whole time as I took them. sigh It really doesn't take much to make me happy. I can't wait until I can go do some nature photography now. My cats aren't too happy with it though...mama with a new camera is apparently terrifying.

What's the last thing you got that made you ridiculously happy?

That sounds really awesome! I've vaguely played with the idea of getting a camera and seeing if I could get into some light photography but it's never been something that interested me a lot so I'm not sure if it would be worth it :P That sounds like such a good price though, I'd love to see some of the photos you've taken to get an idea of the quality :3 I just got my tax returns and some cash from my aunt so I have some money to spare.

I haven't gotten it yet, but I just ordered this bra and I'm so excited to get it. Assuming it fits I will probably be squeeing over it haha.

Congrats =D I got a digi cam for Xmas (with the screen messed up sadly) but it works beautifully even with the screen issue. When I checked the pix turns out some ended up B&W from me playing with the settings but hey it took pix of my nefew I'll never see againShrug

As far as the last thing that got me squee happy....was when the last 2 books for my collection came in. I took a pic of the entire set standing against my dresser in proper order, then set them on my shelf in proper order, and am currently reading them in proper order.

Vampire Chronicles I finally got the entire set (including the mayfair witches set)

The newest thing I bought? The day before my birthday, I ordered a horse lamp and a single horse switch plate from the States. I should've looked at shipping and handling because it was close to $70 when I put my order through. It ended up costing me a grand total of $171 (CAN). I'm still waiting for it, but I looooooove the lamp and I cant wait to get it!! I love horses so much.

The other day (I got $40 for my b0day) I bought a knitted hoodie sweater and an open striped cardigan. I had to put the rest on Visa, so let's not talk about where I'm currently sitting with that. It'll take my 5 damn months to pay it off ^^;;;

Oh mans, that sounds amazing! I love photography, but since I graduated high school I haven't been into it as much. Perhaps someday I'll get into it again and find a camera that's just as nice for a good price. :')

I managed to destroy my laptop last month by spilling chocolate milk all over it (by accident of course). I've been meaning to get myself a gaming computer as of late, so this was kind of the perfect opportunity to do so. Although I'm not happy about losing what I had considered my baby over me stupidly flinging my arms the wrong way and smacking a full glass of milk on top of it, I can't say I don't regret this purchase one bit. :D (And honestly, even if my new computer cost me over $800, it's not a bad price for a strong gaming desktop.)
