There's now a feature so you can make your profile comments private to read for non-friends, so I was wondering if someone could just go here and tell me if they can see my comments? I don't have the widget still on my profile so I wasn't sure if it would still work or if I'd have to keep it on there :x

Would you mind trying again? I added the widget and just set it to display 0 comments. Not ideal but I was afraid it wouldn't work without it :P

I had to do some digging for it too xD It's in the Edit your Profile thing, the Comments widget. You can choose how many comments to display and there's a checkbox to hide them from non friends.

Huh. That's really weird because I found out about it through tumblr, on a post that included a link to a screenie where someone got an error for it .. So I don't know what broke on it since then but it's weird ..

Same! On that post's comments everyone looks confused though, so I take it most people can't get the option to work for them... if it hadn't been an anon post I'd totally ask whose comments they were trying to see when they got that, just out of curiosity XD

I'm kind of curious to see where that goes, I know there's the whole "catching cheaters" aspect to it but with smail being so limited, I could be very fine with comments turning to a "friends only" thing... I don't even understand why smail has limits if comments don't, but oh well xD Since the feature already exists, I can only hope it gets fixed at some point!
