So, I just finished off my second ever furry convention at CaliFur this year. I was wondering how many people here had been to conventions, furry or otherwise, or even how many furries might be around this site.

I went to Metrocon last year, but that's about it. I am a furry, though. :)

I've never been to any kind of convention but I sort of want to go to one? I totally get the appeal.

Like I'm kind of a huge nerd but I try to keep it on the DL to most of my friends :B So while I want to be a normal 23-year-old, I also really want to put together a cute costume and chill with lots of other nerds for a weekend. It's just a dumb insecurity thing. Otakon's coming up in August, my sister's going and I'm kind of tempted. We'll see! :P

It's held in Tampa, FL each year.

I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of anime/games and whatnot :P totally get the appeal of hanging out with people who have the same interests as you at cons though.

Yeah that's the problem. I either have to get REALLY lucky thrift shopping, actually learn how to sew, or have enough money to commission something decent, and none of those look all that likely right now. I definitely wanna do it once though!

We've been wanting to go to a convention. We can never catch one in time or never have the funds. =S

I've been wanting to go to one- but only if I have a fursuit.. It's lame, but I wouldn't want my actual face to be seen.

Not a furry but the husband has quite a few friends that are. We tend to go to gaming and fandom cons, not so much the furrycons. It's a lot of fun, very interesting to see what people dress up as and see all the art and neat stuff in the dealer's room.

I soooo want a fursuit and to go to a con >-< Furries are so fun :3
