I just created Kink yesterday, but it's a name I've loved for a long time. (I still can't believe he is mine.) I've got so many different ideas but they all have a common theme.

(Since I am going the bird route with Karl, I can finally completely validate using the gorgeous BloodRed Lain, so I've got that sorted out now...)

I have picked out a name from my twisted little trickster and I've begun working on his lover. (Ned and Karl aka Fang and Talon) Ned is an immortal spider-human hybrid whose been around since the Dark/Middle Ages... Karl is a modern male Harpy or possibly Siren. (Yes, Ned could potentially be related to Arachna... I haven't decided yet.) Both are equally fascinated with each other, but it takes a while for Ned to realize that the beautiful bird-like Karl isn't going to be caught up in his web (metaphorically or physically)...

Ned will be working as an arachnologist or "spider expert" and hiding his past. Ned's (still) going to have done some pretty terrible things in his youth. He's still going to have grown out of it... Mostly. He takes great enjoyment in deceiving people and playing mind games. He's got some other unusual hobbies, which make him pretty popular in certain circles. He'll need rope, chains, and the like for those. (Well, the pet is named Kink, yes?) Ned's portion of the TC will also have influences from Medieval times, some science-y stuff, and probably all kinds of stuff a spider might like.

Karl will probably be a bartender or a singer (if I go for Siren) who moonlights as a slayer of beasts... (I think perhaps one of Ned's more-spidery cousins may be giving him a bit of trouble so he seeks out an expert, yes?) Anyway, Karl's definitely going to need bar stuff for his portion of the TC along with his bird-y stuff... Whether he's a singer or a bartender or maybe just a drunk, he'll be spending time in bars.

I don't have much in his Wishlist and there is mostly just random (somewhat unrelated) notes on his profile but you are welcome to take a look.

Inspired strongly by: Greek Mythology Vague inspirations: the TV show Game of Thrones, the movie Underworld (2003), the movie Red Riding Hood (2011), and the movie Sleepy Hollow (1999)... Along with several books and other movies/shows with a few original ideas, of course.

The color scheme is: Black, browns, reds, and whites mostly... With a bit of blue thrown in...

I quite like both pet color ideas, and I can see why you're drawn to both. :) I'm a bit more drawn to the lain, personally, but the neela would be more of a unique take. As for TC:

Not much, I'm not very good at this time frame as far as TCs go, but I do find it interesting. I hope I was able to help at least a little though. :)

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I actually have a few other characters who have a medieval-esque theme, but it's been so long since I looked up items for them and his color scheme is a bit different. Plus, new items have been released.

Anyway, I'm not one to worry about authenticity because my "worlds" are never exactly like the real world. Plus, I want him to be centuries old so he'd have collected a mix of items from different time periods. XD That said, I do want it to appear as if he is drawn to particular items (modern or no) because of his early life. It's more of a general "feel" thing for me. -nods-

That was a big help! The Remnant Claw, Desolate Avian Skull, and Broken Sugar Wings are really great items I probably wouldn't have connected with Karl, but... -adds them to WL- (Also, the Harpy Hood is incredibly perfect and incredibly expensive so I am just going to sit here and pretend like it doesn't exist. LOL) I'm gonna have to figure out what direction I am going with the alcohol before I start adding any of them... Because there are a lot of booze on this site. XD

Haha, I've admired the harpy hood for a long time, I hadn't really realized how expensive it was, but it's right up there with - one of those items I will never purchase but o.o And yes, there is quite the variety of alcohol on the site lol, I just threw out some I thought were classics. Glad I could be of assistance. :3
