I used to be able to use the forum text, but that doesn't work anymore. Neither does the new forum image option. I like having my different pets (the entire pet image) displayed beside my posts. I used to change them almost daily, but now I can't get any to show. My old trick doesn't work anymore and the new forum option (in the prefs) is useless. I keep getting told it's not a valid image. I tried copying the image to an image hosting site and that doesn't work either. I still get told the image isn't valid. How do I get Subeta's own images to work on Subeta?

Are you sure you're just using the image url? There's no need to put the [img] tag in the upload box on the Forum Image page. What kind of image are you trying to use since it might be the file type that's giving you the error?

That was my first thought, too. I tried it both ways & even tired a few different pets and things to make sure it wasn't just a glitch w/one particular image. Neither gif or png images worked.

Looks like it's not letting you use the subeta url, but it looks like it works if you save the image onto your desktop and use imgur or something to reupload it.

I tried photobucket and that didn't work. Imgur will?

That's what I'm using for my current image (the sweetheart harvester), at least.

No problem~ I'm glad I could help. c: You shouldn't need to open an account to upload anything with Imgur.

Edit: One thing you should know is that the max image size the Forum Image page says is inclusive of signature text/images like it was in the old forum. It's not stated on the page but it's still a warnable offense, from experience.

How do I resize? The images used to be bigger. For some reason they're much smaller on imgur…

EDIT: Clarify: I resized it on imgur, but it won't show up right on the post. It looks good on the forum prefs page, but shows up much smaller…

It should be the size of whatever image you've saved so it looks like you've grabbed the small version somehow. If you find the individual ones you want from here, save and upload, they should be the full 200x200.

Yeah, it seems to take a good 5-10 minutes for the cache to clear and the image to show up on the forum. You're most welcome~ I'm not quite sure why photobucket isn't working for you since it runs on the same principles as imgur, but I'm no expert by far! XD;

butting in to add that photobucket puts capitals in URLs and it tends to break the coding on subeta. I use tinypic for my hosting because it doesn't break the coding.
