I don't know if this is where to put this as I'm not sure it's an actual bug or a common occurrence or just my appalling luck. When I am looking in the main shops to buy stuffs (for myself or friends) I keep missing out on buying the rarer items; like just now I missed out on getting a sticker because the Captcha Code was cut in half and I had to refresh the image to get the word and of course the item was sold out long before I could even type in the sp let alone the word. Other times the I find that the image is so dark it's unreadable. But, what is happening more and more is the lag between clicking to buy the item and the code showing up. This is happening almost every time I try to buy something. So now I am (almost)never able to get cool stuffs for my hibernating friends which is one of the things I like to do on Subeta. Is this happening just to me or is this happening to others as well?

I have found the site's capcha to be especially laggity in that regard ever since this Memorial Day Sale. This problem has occurred in the past, but hasn't been so much of a nuisance since before last Survival. Sometimes if you don't even see the black dot that the capcha image is going to appear in, you can just plain go ahead and buy the item without using capcha at all. If the item has a nice margin or I really want the item, I often try to buy it right off.
It has always been a common occurrence ever since the capcha was updated four and a half years ago that the color contrast and saturation contrast can be too low to read, and also words getting chopped off. The reason for this change was to combat autobuyers. At the time of this change, very few people were restocking at all because there was no vending limit and the site was pursuing a deflationary policy which resulted in high wholesale costs. You could request several capcha changes and still not miss out on your treasure. Not so much now.
I'm relatively new to the site (I joined in 2012 but didn't really start being a regular til mid 2013) and normally I'm stalking the shops for friends (who are asleep at the times I'm awake) WL items (and for stuff myself) which is something I really enjoy doing. WARNING! Possible stupid statement alert! But, I was under the impression that if no captcha code was entered than it comes back with an "Invalid captcha code" message and you have to jump through hoops to get back to the buying page and by then the item is sold out. Are you saying that I can skip the captcha code to buy the item or am I miss understanding something (which happens a lot so bear with me if you can:D)that is blindingly obvious?

most of the time what you said, this is exactly what happens. But in the circumstances you are mentioning, we are already taking a risk of losing the prize. Your purchase is much more likely to sail on through in the rare chance that, if the black dot is not there. But yes, sometimes this results in a lost buy.
When the site is doing this, I open up the shop in a separate window, so if I fail I do not go Back through the load times and the rigmarole. Instead I just ctrl+w that window and open a new one.
OK, I'll try that. Thank you for the information. Subeta, can on occasion still baffle me. If I could ask one more question (if you don't mind) I am curious as to one thing. A lot of the time I click on an item, and the captcha code is readable and there is no lag, and I type in all the stuff necessary how is it I still often get the item is sold out message?

That depends, . If you click the Back To Shop button, do you get the "last restock 43 years ago" message? This is a known glitch. It does happen to me, I wouldn't say it happens often so I don't mind it. Maybe change or update your browser? Clearing the cache doesn't seem to affect it for me.
When this error happens, you can go back to the shop by regular navigation or a bookmark and you will see the item is still there. When this error doesn't happen and the item's gone from the shop, it means that other people are restocking the very same items you are. When this happens to me, I go to another shop to restock.
