I haven't seen many mommies on Subeta, so let's hear from everyone. :)

Are you ttc, angel mommy, mommy-to-be, or a current mommy? How old are you? How old are your children? What do you do?

Tell me about your parenting style!

Please do not bash any moms for their choices. This post was not intended to create any mommy wars.

I'm a 19 year old full time college sophomore and full time semi-crunchy momma to a 9 month old baby boy named Damon. Attachment parenting is the style I follow. :) I'm an intactivist. We will be doing ERF. We babywear, co-sleep, use cloth diapers, and co-bathe. Although I don't breastfeed anymore, I'm a big supporter of it and of nursing in public.

(I searched for like 10 minutes for a good place to post this so if anyone can think of a better place, please let me know!)

I'm not a mom, but I've been taking care of my younger brother (now 13) since I was .. eh young(we are 7 years apart). I live in a single-mom family and our mother work full-time and she's quite old, so I take care of him. It's almost like being a mother, I think. I go to college full-time, make sure he goes to school, do his homework, have enough socks and boxers and make sure that he is okay mentally. It's a bumpy road, but well I don't really have a choice :)

I admire mothers in general, some of them are so so strong.

You don't always have to be a mom to take on the mommy role. You sound like such a great sister and you should definitely be proud of yourself. :)

- I had my one and only when I was 19 ! She's now a giant mutant teenager which is clearly impossible as there is no way that almost SIXTEEN YEARS has flown by. IMPOSSIBLE I SAY. I have been a single mom most of her life, even when I was with someone, I was almost on my own with the parenting and raising. It's sad. She's SO BONDED to me, now, but I'd rather have her be a good kid than a wild little hellcat, so I won there. She's my favorite kid in the world and the best kid ever. I wanted a big family, but I figure, I got the best I wished for in a baby, so why risk anything more ? Besides, who wants to teach one kid to drive, and another to go potty ?

Mother of a three year old son here :) It's interesting I wish I could have had a child sooner rather than later in life, I'm 32 now.

I know here are more moms from our lil corner but I can't recall who. :)

I have two children, the first was from a rape (I'm ok now-- I've learned to cope, and I see it as my way of making the best from a bad situation.) and she is now 6 years old. I did put her up for adoption, and it was my parents who adopted her. She is a very beautiful and smart little girl, and in her eyes, she is "so special that God had to give her TWO mommies."-- Those are her words.

Then, I have my son-- who is my final child thanks to a hole in my uterus. He is now 2 years old, and allergic to just about everything... :/ I have caught a lot of crap over the fact that he doesn't get most vaccines due to egg being used in the vaccine, but he is otherwise a perfect healthy little man.

I am 25 years old, and still figuring everything out, but couldn't be more proud of my children, and I do see both as my babies (and probably still will when they're in their 80s!)

- I was only a single mom for about the first 5 months of my son's life and that was plenty hard enough. Kudos to you! So much respect. I'm sure she's an amazing girl. :)

- Awh, what's his name? And hey, better late than never! ;) Do you plan on having more?

- I am so so sorry you were put through that. I couldn't imagine having a child from that situation, but like you said, making the best of a bad situation. And she seems like a very lucky little girl to have two mommies. ;) If you dont mind me asking, how did you get a hole? x: I've been picking and choosing my son's vaccines so I can understand the crap you have to deal with about vaccines. But in the end, you're the momma. And with him being allergic, you don't really get much of a choice!

I love talking to other moms, thank you all for the reply. <3

^_^ oh sorry, his name is Vincent. My sister works at a day care :P she maybe interested in poking in here I dunno, she's shy :P but isn't a mommy -yet- :P

I am unable to have anymore children, we've tried and after 3 miscarriages and one of twins, we've had enough. We have one handsome lil' man who is just gonna have to be content with being an only child. ^_^ It's all we really need.

I need to learn to spell...

:) Thanks. She is a really awesome little girl-- beautiful, smart, funny, and very loving. I don't have any regrets. She has made life better. :)

As for the hole, I'll have to dig out my records to get the proper name for the condition, but it was a "rare" one-- affecting 1 in 1000 women. The hole developed from my uterus becoming too weak, and has retained a paper-thin lining and nothing more. :(

I'm 21, and I'm a mommy-to-be due this early august 8th. I'm about 8 months in and I still don't know how I feel about it yet. Is that crazy? Or is this just nerves.... I've been trying meditation (and by trying, I mean I just started last night and I don't know if it will sincerely help with my worries) I'm also a new military spouse. Recently married this late May (31st). I plan to move once my baby is born. So many things going on. I don't know how to deal! SO sorry if this is a bit off the topic and a downer to all you other mommies.

I've chosen the name "Juniper Rue" for her.

I'm 26 and have a wee dude called Theo who turned 8 months yesterday. He is seriously more beautiful than I would have considered possible, but some of that may be mummy goggles (nah not really, he is a big ball of blond, blue eyed gorgeousness). My parenting style recently seems to consist of mainly suicide prevention, as he has developed the ability to do the worm at a startling speed. His favourite things are plug sockets, small change and electrical wires. He also enjoys refusing to smile at people, but not everyone, just when it's especially awkward. Yesterday he cut his second tooth, right next to the first on the bottom, giving him the appearance of an especially mischievous chipmunk and improving his solid food eating skills twofold. Today we went shopping to pick a fathers day present for his daddy. Theo decided on a fine bottle of single malt whiskey. What can I say, the kid has taste. Sorry for the wall o text but I'm not much of a mum group person, and I try not to bore people at work or my childless friends with too much baby spam. So its nice to ramble about my favourite little guy in the world for a while. :)

Massive congrats to you, the last month is the hardest/fastest/slowest/scariest/happiest part of pregnancy, and it only gets more confusingly amazing from here on in. :) You'll deal fine, I actually found that as exhausted and sleep deprived as I was it was easier once the baby was born. Your focus narrows to a single thing, which is keeping them happy and healthy, and everything else doesn't matter as much. I'm not saying it's easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. And what a beautiful name! I'm sure she will be every bit as gorgeous.
