So I bought a brand new HP Pavilion laptop yesterday, yay exiting.

but now today I had to take it back because of it's battery. It said it had a life of 6hrs but I was only getting an hour at most.

The lady refused to order me a new battery, they had no other HPs in stock and the closest store that did is an hour and a half away.

So I got a full refund.

Now I need to find a new laptop, and stat. I've been looking and so far my best bet is the Lenovo U320..

anyone else have good suggestions? :/

I find this to be one of the biggest determining factors in terms of what to suggest, like would you only be running internet and word on your laptop or do you also want to be able to run a video editing program, Photoshop while streaming movies on the side? There's a wide range of what can be expected of a college laptop.

Pretty much just internet and word..maybe have enough power to play minecraft? I'm going into an English / History double major..

So just something to do work on / browse the web.

I've had my Asus x401a for a couple years now with zero problems. Like you, I really only use it for the internet, Minecraft, and Word. It comes in a bunch of colors, really lightweight, and I can fit it in my bigger purses. ;P Personally, I usually have Subeta and Netflix up and running side by side hahah.
