Does anyone know of a way to see our old forum subscriptions so we can track down the new threads?

If you use this address: http://subeta.net/forums/index.php?act=sub

You will get a list of threads that sound completely unfamiliar. However, if you actually click on these strange threads they will take you to the old forums, which, chances are don't exist. But the title of the original subscribed to thread should show up in the title bar, and should also show you what forum it was under.

Don't know if/how that can help, since I'm not aware of being able to search the forums. Also, not all subscriptions are there, I know its only showing a fraction of mine.

I am also super frustrated by this! I tried Lypsyl's method, but it only gives me three threads (out of about 10).

Anyone else know how to find my old subscriptions, please?

I don't know how to get the old threads back, but if anyone finds a way, please ping me!

Thanks! :)

Click here and add the subscriptions widget to your sidebar. All of your subscriptions should be there, though they're linked to the old forums. What you can do is open each one, see which forum it was in, go to the corresponding NEW forum, then do a ctrl+f search for the title.

For example, I had a subscription to the Alchemy Recipe List, which takes me to the old forums (here). I can look at the top, see that the thread was posted in General Discussion, go to the current board and paste the thread title into a ctrl+f (or whatever your operating system uses to search a page). It may be helpful to look, while you're at the old forum, to see when the thread was last posted on so you can guesstimate what page of the forum to start your search. It might save you the nine page search I just did to find the new, corresponding thread here. Don't forget to favorite your new links. They will not update in the sidebar widget.

I am admittedly horrible at explaining things, so I'm hoping at least one of you can make sense of all this to simplify and share.

Thanks so much! I can't believe the number of times I've changed my sidebar set up & I never noticed the subscriptions widget! LOL It's such a relief to have subs back! :)

You're welcome. :) I just hope the rest of that isn't too convoluted. 😬

I have a different OS, so the CNTRL F doesn't work for me, but it was no problem to use the widget to link to the old thread & just note the date and time & which forum it was under. It took me about 20 seconds to find the first thread I looked for. I was going nuts trying to remember what all my different subs were. Isn't that why we sub -- so we don't HAVE to remember what it was, where it was, what to check up on, or how to do it? LOL You're a lifesaver!

Thanks! It was so annoying to only have a partial list!

Yes... yes, it is. The way stuff happens around here, I'm almost surprised they didn't break or take the widget away and leave us all scrambling even worse than this. LOL I hope I didn't speak too soon. :P

You're welcome! :)
