I was put on dicyclomine for IBS due to stress today.

I took my first dose about 20 minutes ago. I'm starting to get nauseous and lightheaded.

For those who take this...is this normal?

I don't take dicyclomine, but I just looked it up and 'upset stomach' and 'dizziness' do appear on the side effect list, so it looks like that is fairly normal. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it if it doesn't stop very soon or if it gets worse, though. Here is the page I was looking at, so you can look into yourself.

odd.I took it once(don't remember for how long) and I had no issues..I would call your doctor to make sure nothings wrong.Better safe than sorry.

I'm asking my regular doctor on Tuesday if the other doctor taking me off of metformin and putting me on the dicyclomine was the right decision...

I take dicyclomine for my Crohns, and have never had any issues. Taking prescription pills without eating can make me dizzy and nauseous though.

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.
