So, I know the site said it would never put ads that played music on the pages. I've gotten an ad that plays music some three-four times since last night. It's not my computer. I'm on linux, and did several virus scans, and nothing popped up. Subeta is the only site this happens on.
It started up while I was playing Caliph's tombs last night, and happened again just now while I was doing a library quest. There will be a blank spot where the ad is supposed to be, and a little blue loading bar will pop up at the top. It will say 'expanding', then the page will get a gray overlay. No pictures or video will play, but there will be a fairly loud music clip playing. Clicking the 'x' button that shows up with it doesn't do anything, as it will load itself back up. You have to refresh the page to make the ad go away.
Please look into this, it scared the poop out of me and hurt my ears, since I have headphones on. If this is going to become a feature, I just might have to stop playing.
Do you have access to adblock? Which browser do you use?
; I have adblock, and using it removes the problem ad. However, I don't want to use it and cost the site money.
I'm using google chrome predominantly, but sometimes use firefox. At the time of the ads, I was on chrome.
Understandable but if that one ad is noisy, I say just block that one. It's not with the scare or the headaches really. But maybe Subeta can do something about it, here's hoping.
; I might just have to, this is getting very, very annoying. x/
I've got photographic evidence of what the page looks like, and figure out what triggers the ad to run. Basically, the adspace is blank, and if you move your cursor over it, it triggers the ad.
This is problematic, since it's right under the navigation tabs.
^The ad activating
^What it does to my screen.
The music starts the instant the screen goes gray.
