I haven't seen any posts about this so far, and I'm sorry if there has been any, I did look through the first page though!

Every now and again pinging a user just...won't work. Twice it didn't work when I used the ping user feature above their posts, and when I edited and added a line it suddenly did.

Now twice I pinged a user, it didn't work, I went in and edited about five times in an attempt and as of right now the ping STILL isn't registering.

Has anyone else had this issue?

After ten minutes, the pings have begun working. Odd? :/

How do you know they aren't working? Are they telling you, or do you mean that because the name doesn't show up as a link?

I did some testing before, and even if the name doesn't show as if it were a 'ping' it still went through. Refreshing the page usually made it look like a link.

Do remember that if you edit a post existing pings will not go through in that post - you need to completely remove the ping with one edit, and re-add it with another.

I have an issue with pings not working. I know this because sometimes I ping my friend and she has no idea until I mention it in conversation offsite. The ping didn't show up in her events or her ping history. It's strange and a little inconvenient.

Very inconvenient. They don't show up anywhere for me half the time. I got this one, but yesterday pinged me to a thread and it wasn't in my events tab, events history, ping history, or friend feed. In fact, til she told me about it offsite I had no idea. Then when she replied to what I'd said on the thread and pinged me within that post that one did show up. Everywhere, like it's supposed to.

Even now, that first ping is no where to be found.
