Besides using a loyalty box to transform a pet to one, which is the cheapest way to make your pet nostalgic?

i think the cheapest way to do it would be to buy the toy from a user shop and bring it along with essence of melody to vanya's workshop. for instance, if you wanted to change a pet to a nostalgic antlephore, you would buy the Nostalgic Antlephore Toy. you probably already know this but i feel i should mention this changes your ACTIVE pet.

How does Essence of Melody mix to that?

I thought just the toy would create one or the kit and instructions?

The melody essence is what changes the pet. They are given out as a prize for visiting the site everyday in December, so if you wait until then it is really cheap.

If you bring only the instructions and the items asked for (including one of the kits, but also I believe it's two other items) you just get the toy back.

Ok so I'd have to have the kit, instructions, to make JUST the toy, however if I just have the toy and the "esscense of melody" THAT makes the potion?

There's no potion. You can either take the instructions to Vanya, do the quest with the kit and the other items asked for, and get the toy then use it with the Essence of Melody to change your active pet. Or you can take the toy itself and the Essence of Melody if that's cheaper than doing the quest.

Even if you can't visit the site every day to earn your own Essence of Melody, the price drops in late December/early January because there are more for sale.

Alright, got it. I may just wait until I have loyalty boxes to do it that way. May be less hassle...
