So my hair has a problem with humidity. Even a few moments in it causes my hair to curl horribly and stick that way.

I have thin/fine hair that I get cut in layers. I use Pantene, since its my favorite shampoo, and the one that works best. However it does nothing for humidity.

Does anyone have any tips for this? I'm getting tired of doing my hair in the morning, only to have it ruined as soon as I walk out the door for even a moment.

I can't afford really expensive hair products, so please keep that in mind. D:

It sounds like you may want to use a straightening serum. Do you use a flat iron or a blow dryer?

The only two tips I could give is.. Natural coconut oil maybe? Smear it on the night before you shower. Or granier fructis leave-in conditioner.

Yeah, I use a straightening iron. Only problem is my hair is the type that gets oily. Sometimes weighed down if I use certain shampoos/products. That link has some (to me) seriously expensive products though. XD I can't afford $15 dollar hair spray :x

Thank you for the tips, but I think the oil may make my issue worse. Due to my type of hair. XD I'll try to look up the leave-in conditioner though!

It may seem a bit pricy but it'll last a long time and the quality of the product and effect on your hair could make it worth it, in my opinion. There are cheaper products recommended on that page as well, I just wasn't sure what you meant by really expensive. You can definitely find more affordable dupes though. :)

If your hair is oily/thin/fine you'll want products that clarify and volumize. I think your best bet would be a lightweight drugstore serum that will protect your hair from heat damage and handle frizz without making your hair greasy. A little product will go a long way, and don't apply it to your scalp or roots!

is right about finding the right conditioning products too since you'll need to find a balance between your hair getting frizzy or feeling too oily. It needs to be moisturized, but just not too much and with nothing too heavy-duty. Try trial or travel sizes first if they're available and read reviews.

That's fantastic advice. :D I know pricier stuff lasts longer, but I literally cannot afford it. :S I saw that some Garnier Products were recommended on some sites, so I may look into those as well. Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner work fabulously for my hair, so maybe I'll look into the best of theirs for my hair type. :)

I should also see (as that article says) if I can find some sort of oil free/grease free anti-humidity/anti-frizz hair product.

Do you wash your hair in the evenings or mornings? I have thick, curly hair and it poofs up at the first sign of humidity. I wash my hair at night (every 2-3 days) but I keep it up in a bun while I sleep so it's still wet in the mornings, and then I usually keep it in a braid for a few hours until it's just barely damp to keep my curls from expanding.

If I straighten my 2nd day hair, I do it at night and let it "set" overnight, that way it doesn't frizz up nearly as badly during the day. It used to drive me crazy when I would straighten my hair in the mornings and it'd basically be a curly frizzy mess by the time I got to school, since I had hair down to my butt and it'd take me 30+ minutes to straighten it lol.

It depends on if my shower water decides to stay hot or not. XD So I have to switch between morning and evening. My hair curls like mad when it is wet, so I blow dry it, then wait a few hours, sometimes even an entire day before straightening it. Or else it comes out strange.

I ended up buying an anti-humidity hair spray, so lets hope it works. x_x

try herbal essence none of your frizness(it smoothes without that heavy feeling). It is in a red colored bottle. Then after you dry your hair and flat iron, or whatever you do to style it, set it with a humidity blocking hairspray. You can brush through the hairspray, it will still create a barrier on your strands.

Oh gosh, that shampoo makes my scalp itch like nobodies business. XD

I am trying the Garnier Anti-Humidity Sleek and Smooth Hairspray, and it seems to work ok.

maybe there is an herb you are alergic to in the one you get. Garnier's sleek and shine line is also good and light. I had gotten a smoothing shampoo before from like rusk or some sort of salon brand and it was gross. It just made my hair thick and stiff and I didn't want to run my hands through my hair but I have always loved herbal essence and garnier's because they smooth and they are light weight. Garnier used to have a flexible hold spray in a tiny clear bottle that was amazing but I have not seen it for sale anywhere in like 10 years so I assume they discontinued it.
