For restockable items, do item rarities generally correspond to their value? Just as a rule of thumb when sorting my stuff...

It can, but not always. Supply and demand fluctuates quite a bit, so values shift in unexpected ways sometimes.

one of the fun things about restocking here in Subeta is that the market changes, and does so moderately quickly. What was not worth anything three months ago, might be worth something now. It's a risk with every purchase, but there's some possible lucky wins, too.

If it matters to you that everything you buy make a huge profit instanter, you should be very cautious what you buy. If you're willing to roll with the tide and ebb and are a little more patient, then restocking is easy.

Recently, there's been complaints and Suggestions that this be changed and that Rarity be made to more correspond to value. This is a massively sucktastic way to run a toy economy and forces RL economies to undergo huge strain. Some rare items? NOBODY WANTS THEM.

I read in some quest guide that quest rewards are based on item rarity instead of average price, and I know quests occasionally give unproportionally high or low rewards, so that would prove it...But more often the rewards are in some proportion to the cost, so I guess it works as a very general rule...

Drunk Carl and Celia give an increased reward at around 1 in 9 times, for some unknown reason (random!) they take a liking to one of the items you were supposed to get for them. Major Drills and Maleria do the same thing, at different odds.

For Quentin and Alexander this random bonus or "liking" results in a specific item that only they give out, and other quest grantors do the same kinds of quest-special items on their WSQ days.

So the "general rule" is that sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes this luck equals the recommended amount when you average them out.

Maybe a noob question but who are Alexandr and Celia? Anyway, I find the effect more noticeable with Saggitarius's quests.

Alexander The Ontra runs Library Quest in Centropolis. Cinthia runs Toy Quest in Pina Park in Atebus.

Artificial demand created by Subeta through their quest grantors =/= anyuser wanting that item.

Saggi's rewards are larger in the first place, so the same percent increase for him that is the same percent increase from somebody else results in a lot more sP from him than it does for them. Another way to say it s that the rewards from him vary quite widely, and that he seldom asks for the most common items in the first place. I've given him some pretty rare stuff and gotten crap sometimes, myself.
