Gah, griping here so that I don't gripe at him. Because I'm sure this isn't an actual problem, just a problem for me.

I work 8-5 M-F. I found out just now, at 3 p.m. on a Friday, that my husband decided to throw a huge party at our house tonight.

Our house is not a party house. It's nice. And I have a ton of fish tanks that people slam into and don't notice. I don't feel like drinking. I don't feel like babysitting drunk people. I just wanted a nice quiet evening. He has offered to cancel, but he doesn't even know who all he invited at this point...it'd be impossible to cancel. Tonight is going to be long. I wish he wouldn't be so inconsiderate. He says you don't have to do a thing, I will watch everyone, I'll regulate. Uh, the phrases "super drunk" and "I'll regulate" don't go together. He can't regulate. He won't even know his name. Siiiigh.

I can definitely understand your feelings. I think he definitely should've talked to you about it first. I think one should always tell whoever they're living with what's going on in the house - since they live there, too. If it affects the house, the housemates should know about it. (Not to mention, you're married!) On a different note - I hope none of your shit gets broken! ): Fish tanks would be the worst to clean up.

I hope everything went alright last night and that it wasn't too bad, and there werent too many people slamming into fish tanks. It's too bad he didnt ask you about it first, and He really should have. It's too bad he couldn't cancel, and he probably should have kept track of who he had invited anyway. Hopefully it all worked out alright.

It couldn't have worked out better, actually xD Not too many people, only about 10, and they were all fine...until some of the boys started getting rowdy and Tim got to see a perfect example of EACH thing I told him I was afraid would happen! Nothing bad, though, everything was prevented. But after everyone left he said okay, wow, I definitely see what you mean about having to keep an eye on a lot of things at once. I get it now. He's a good guy :) I'm lucky. I guess that's why I bitch here instead of at his face xD I know he means well. It must be a learning process!
