It's been a very long time since I last checked up on my account. However, I know I didn't name my pet Sheeta692153! She was Kiwi when I last saw. Was there something I missed? I like her species, can I change her name some how? :C

Subeta used to clear accounts completely after a year of inactivity but now your username and pet names become available. You should have the option to change your pet name for free since it got snagged.

I'd file a ticket with staff because if her name REALLY had been Kiwi before it wouldn't be the name it is now. In fact upon my researching it seems the original Kiwi was born July 2009 and the "new" Kiwi was born Sept 2012. Given the pet you say had been named Kiwi was born Jan of 2009 there's zero way the person could have nabbed the name Kiwi in July 2009 since it takes a FULL year of not being online for a name to come up for grabs.

But when a name is nabbed it never has the string of numbers after it's always something like Mage_492 (name pet had been before_xxx) and the user gets a notification that the pet name was taken and they get to change it for free now if the user comes back.

So I say file a ticket to see if you were ever hacked. Though idk if there's a time frame staff can peek at ips that had accessed an account, even more so if it had ever hit the point to have names become open for others to use.
