Does anybody have an idea what will be the next event on subeta after Vesnali is done now? What event is most probable?

I'm pretty sure there is nothing "official" until September when we have the Subeta Anniversary and Keelhauliday.

Keith's birthday is in June, but we generally just have a free item that day.

Many years we've had summer events, I think its unlikely this year with all the programming changes going on. But you never know. There could be a restock war, some kind of item drive (no more reading drive, but may have the same kind of thing with a different kind of item), or a random plot (like the Councillors Cruise).

Keith has said that he wants people to participate in events during events. Doesn't like the concept of people saving books all year, then dumping them in the drive during the first hour of the event and then being done.

But with Subeta, nothing is ever completely official, so one can't say for sure there won't be another reading drive. Just that's its either unlikely, or will be radically changed.

Okay... that's good to know! Time to make my pet smarter then, I guess. ;D

Actually it's for sure that there will never be another reading drive, sorry. I believe it was addressed during a live chat with Keith (but I could be wrong on that). There might be other types of item drives that are similar, but never again with books.

And yeah, they usually do a little something over the summer but there aren't any regular annual events until fall.

Thanks for the info! I thought that someone else might have a clue about this. Another "something" drive would be fun too! Or any other event... anything at all. ;D

, one of the Battle Admins, has strongly hinted that there's going to be a battle event of some sort this summer, so if you're not training already, you might want to start!

No she didn't. She just mentioned the magma godly possibly coming for the summer, and it's just one opponent. So if it was promised for the whole last year, I'm sure it wasn't supposed to be part of an event. But I'm not saying there won't be an event with battling this summer.... hopefully at least another battle week.

Apparently I don't have no idea about anything, so thank you very much for your input! A battle event would not be the best thing for me since I only have tier 5 and 6 pets... and I already started the auto training now but it's progressing sooo slowly.

That's why I said she just hinted at it. ;) But if you think about it logically, they probably won't attach it to a permanent challenger so the supply will be more limited, and they usually don't just release one temporary challenger at a time, so there will probably be a bunch of them at once. And they've been saying they want to release a magma godly for a while, but I don't think they actually knew (know?) how they want to do it, which I think is why it has taken so long.

You'd be surprised how far you can get with a tier 6 pet! You can build up stats much faster by doing Battle Quests as well.

Veering a bit from the topic, but I agree with . None of our permanent challengers give out godlies. All of the newer ones are attached to an event of some kind, so expect a summer battle event. That's how I read into it, anyway! I'm prepared to be disappointed. ;)

If Achievements get fixed or the battle counters get fixed? We are due for a gelatin attack. That's another battle thingy, though.

I love long events as well, especially when they're not battle-focused since that's never been my thing. The "wars" we've had have been really fun, and it would be great to see them encorporate that into another plot line. It probably takes quite a bit of planning to roll out an event such as these, but I'd love for it to happen again over summer! :)

Aww, I loved the reading drive! :( Mostly because of all the prizes with book references... & and all the Harry Potter wands are still my favorites.

Oh right! EpiCON would be great because last year I was writing my master thesis when it happened and I couldn't join in as much as I wanted.

Another EpiCON would be great! :D That's what they had last year, but any event would be great. As long as the event is fair to all users. Battle events aren't my favorite because most of the battle opponents are made for the users who can battle opponents with thousands of HP points and other stats. That just isn't fair for everyone else. This was one problem I had with the Vesnali Tempest Plot. Most of the clouds were way too strong for me. And I train my pet every time it finished training. :c I always train my pet. I also try stat boosters too, but they usually cost too much for me to be spending all the time for. At least have a lot of weaker opponents and not just strong ones. I would take me years to get thousands of stats for my pet. Make it fair if there's going to be a battle event.

When there's a battle component to a larger event, it's usually not something required. When we had battle week last year, there were varied opponents. I can't think of a single time since I've been here that the opponents' tiers weren't well spread out during any kind of event that involved battling, whether part of another event or just a battle thing. Cranberry and Purge do a really great job accomodating everyone with these kinds of things.

It doesn't take very long to train your pet to a halfway decent tier, even with just regular training. I do battle quests occasionally, but not enough to really count for anything. My pets are tier 5, close to tier 6, and it's taken me 10 months to get there (granted, I am online more than most people probably are).
