So, I want to make a badger-based pet. It'll actually be a mujina (which is a japaense yokai that looks like a badger, occasionally shape shifts, and is kinda shy). But my problem is, I'm not sure which pet to pick. I know I'll be getting an overlay, but I like matching species as close as possible. I've considered the Chai or Anyu, but they are more bear like. The Ferret and Ontra are similar to those in the same species (mustelidae) range as the badger, but are smaller.

What pet would you recommend for a badger pet?

What about a Terracoon? I think a Pherret is a good choice too.

For my own badger pet Grumpybum, I went for the glacier Priggle! I had a gorgeous custom overlay done, but the glacier Priggle really seemed badger-ish to me. I think it might be the face? Like... if didn't have a badger partially in mind when she drew it, I'd be surprised, hehe.

My other considerations were Pherrets (since ferrets are in the weasel family!), Terracoons, Anyus, and I think I contemplated Torreys because I think they're adorable.
