Is it typical nowadays for a mod to just leave a ticket you've filed hanging?

It kind of depends on what it's for? I've had a few before that went several days while the UA who was assisting me had to wait on other staff for an answer to something, but usually if it's taking awhile they usually check back with me to at least say they're still waiting on an answer. You could always try responding again and asking if they found anything out yet (or whatever your ticket is about)?

Hmmmm...ok. I am not sure if they are asking or anything...maybe that's it. They didn't say that.

In that case I don't know :x I would still say you could ask what's going on with it...or something (it's kind of hard to word this when I have no idea what's going on so sorry if it's unclear D: ), just in case it was missed somehow :x It could just be that the UA is really busy or that it needs checking into, or maybe just an error with the site :x

Well I'd hate to be a pest if it's just a matter of being patient, which is why I asked here to see if I'm just being thick.

I understood what you said.

I understand. Well, personally I've never had a UA just leave my ticket without at least telling me they needed to check into something, for what it's worth.

Typically they tell you if they need to check in about something. Regardless I give it about three days before I send a question asking "hey, just seeing about an update?" Typically about 1-3 days after that I'm answered. I've never had a ticket sit for more than a week, though.

It's been very rare for me to see a Ticket take longer than three days between UA posts. I have also seen my Tickets get closed if three days have passed and no post has been made. If it's been that long and you haven't been told they're looking into something, I'd add a post to the ticket myself instead of checking in. Making additional Tickets seems to mess with their CSR app's vertical software.

Generally speaking we try not to let tickets go without a response for more than three days, but real life circumstances can get in the way and cause unexpected delays. It's also possible your issue needs looked into further.

It's never happened to me. My responses are always quick and helpful. But if you feel it's been too long, or the ticket gets forgotten about somehow, then you might need to make another one and say what's been happening.
