So I hopped on today to find an advertisement box in my dashboard. What's it about? How long has it been there (if other users have it as well..)? And why is it there?

I didn't see any topics about this so I'm quite puzzled..

There is a board in Site Feedback about this, Subeta is testing with advertisements in the sidebar for non-GA users.

It acctually was there a few weeks ago too and everyone had problems with it, like the Events don't delete and something, but since that works just fine now the only problem is that it just looks not good there. Subeta is trying to find a good place for Ads where they are not so easily overseen but also not too annoying for us Users.

Really? I've been on for the past few weeks and It wasn't there until yesterday.
Hopefully they'll figure out where to put it.

It wasn't there for everyone, for example while I had it, my sister doesn't. They put it on different places for different Users, while the one in the Dashboard was probabably the most annoying and also most visible. Some Users didn't even see an Advertisement anywhere while others got crazy because of theirs.
