Okay, so I just read up on it, and it feels like the only real thing affected by this is medicine/healthcare in certain countries, and a big maybe over dojinshi, cosplay, and parody works. I don't see anything at all about stopping people from blogging.

I'm signing because people need access to medicine, but I'm going to ask that you don't spread false information.

It's the potential of what can happen, not what's explicitly written. It's common practice to write a law {or begin a movement} and then slowly extend what it encompasses until the law becomes so tangled and backwards it negates the entire purpose of it's initial passing. Such happened 1906 act {and further revisions there of} , 'Grandfather' laws, income tax, paid leave and insurance companies. Do I think said law is going to affect things like blog posts initially? No. Do I think there's a good chance it'll be extended in the future to include anything and everything under the sun that certain people/parties/interests find objectionable? Yes.

I find that very difficult to believe.... it doesn't really matter anyway, it's restricting certain countries' ability to get medicine, so yes, sign the petition. Why isn't that more of a concern for you?

I wish the idiots who keep advocating for these laws realize that a lot of business is conducted internationally and screwing with it is going to screw over a lot of people. It's no good for anyone.
