So, I did a quest a moment ago, which resulted in only a 20pt token (No SP given as a reward).

I see nothing about this change, and I was very prompt with turning in the quest.

I go to try another round, and start getting the following:

It does seem to be working again. I know a bit ago, during the battle discussion in the SB, someone else mentioned the Wizard and his fatal errors, so I definitely don't think it was just me.
