I know this isn't something huge but it bothers me a bit. Whenever you fight "the tempest" it kills you, there is no way there is a pet that wouldn't lose to it. I would like to not have hundreds of loses on my battle page if that is possible, especially with me and others throwing our pets at him.

I don't understand what you're asking for? You're battling a challenger that's too high for your pets so you lose the battle, and you don't want the losses to count? Is that what you're asking?

No I'm saying just for the collaborative ones, it's essentially just a suicide throw your pet at it you die you heal you die forever until it's dead. For the event everyone wants to help even if it is only a little bit. I don't think this should effect any of the other single person battles.

Oh, you mean the challengers where EVERYONE fights him to take him down? I didn't quite get what you meant by collaborative at first, my bad lol.

In that case, I can't really say I have an opinion on it. I'm not a hardcore battler at all.

Yes the everyone fights one target battle is what I meant sorry I was not too clear. I've been training my pet for awhile only fighting what i can beat i was trying for a perfect battle record (impossible). I thought I'd help out because I figured it wouldn't count against you sorta like battle quests don't count against you, due to it being unique circumstances. If I knew it was going to count as a lose for me I would have just skipped this part of the event all together. This is just me of course I'm not sure how many people will actually feel this way but I figured I'd suggest it anyway.

Don't expect a perfect battle record here. Everyone is losing to Tempest. View the losses as a badge of honor!

That does seem rather unfair. There's no way anyone can win against this thing, except for the lucky person who gets the final blow.

If these collaborative battles can be changed to not count, that would be great.

I don't think I'll have a perfect record this I know but I do still think it's unfair when only one person gets the win. I can also understand losing because I was beat I guess "legitimately"(I couldn't think of a better way to say this) I just feel I can't see it as an honorable lose if it's a battle meant to not be won I guess.

I'm more annoyed that I have to pay to heal the pet after every time, so I only bothered to do it five times, the same number of times I would fight anything else to get the special prizes. I've already been ripped off on its training for years.

I can understand losses can be battle scars I've already work this loss into my pets story (abstaining from further fighting tempest). My issue is this battle was made specifically to make you lose.. I just don't see honor in zerging the tempest until it's dead there is no strategy or thoughtful planning(I'm sure people plan but I mean there is no way for you to be able to survive the entirety of the fight strategy I'm sure everyone plans weapon sets for dmg etc.) it's just hit it till it dies eventually. I guess this just makes me think back to wow when a bunch of people make lvl 1s and rush enemies down you can beat lots of things when you have a massive amount of numbers. I don't feel like the lose if of my own merit though. I just feel disappointed that my lose came from wanting to participant in the plot and that in doing so it hurt my ultimate goal. I realize I should probably have just asked someone if losing was counted to save myself, but that is something I'll have to live with. I still don't think it should count though as its asking us to work together in mass in furtherance of the plot or I haven't heard otherwise unlike the other opponents we received.

p.s I'm not sure of my how my tone is sounding, it's merely meant to convey my views not to sound argumentative.

Err no. You lost, you lost. And, if anything, I think people having massive number of losses against Tempest are more honorable.

I agree. It's a total suicide mission every time. I really don't think it should count.

I totally get where you're coming from. I hate having extra losses, because I'm normally fairly cautious about the opponents I take on so as to not accrue more. I shrug it off for cooperative battles like this, though, because really, more losses just means you helped more! I know it increases your counter, which is a bit of a sadface for anal-retentive folks like me. But realistically, not many people other than you will be looking at that particular statistic... and if anyone judges you for being awesome and chipping away at coop opponents, their opinions aren't worth caring about anyway ;)

I don't understand the hate for loss numbers. Losing shows you're willing to try something challenging and maybe learn something from it instead of sticking to the safe zone where you know you can win easily. In the case of Tempest, it shows you're willing to sacrifice your time and sP to help the community beat the thing.

💪😤 Wear your battle scars with pride!

I would love it if the Healer offered a discount during the war, though. It would still be a massive sP sink if you cut the price in half.

It would also be cool if there was a link to the Healer right there on the page where it says "You Lose!", imho. I mean, it's not bad having the Healer open in one tab and battles in another, but...I dunno, I just think it would be convenient. Or at least a nice touch.

Having visible losses doesn't bother me that much, so I don't care either way on that.

I don't see the need for this suggestion either. All battling here is a choice, not a requirement. I would just abstain from using a particular pet in battles if I didn't want wins/losses to factor into its story.

I'm not a fan of the losses hanging around on my record, either, and it took me a while to get past that and get myself into the Tempest battles. So I do get where you're coming from and part of me agrees.

But reading through the thread, I see some good points for the other side, too. What value are battles if there's no risk or cost to it?

In the end, I think I agree with others that the losses should remain, although it would be cool if there was some kind of sub-category on the stats page where it's clearer whether the losses came from one-on-one fights or against a group opponent.
