So, I've ended up with 5 of these, being indecisive and an on/off player, I locked the lot in inventory. Obviously all the lock slots are now occupied, which is a pain.

Now, they don't appear to be able to move to the vault, the only option is 'delete' or 'open loyalty box', presumably to prevent sales. My question is, are they immune from inventory events, and therefore don't need locking? Or can they still be stolen/zapped/whatever?

On a related but slightly random note, are there any items which are 100% safe from harm, if left unlocked in the inventory?

Unfortunately they can still be stolen or zapped, so that is why everyone recommends you locking them :( I'm not sure there's really anything on this site that is safe from being harmed. Pretty sure there's a window of time in which cash shop items and cws are immune from events like that but it's only temporary...

They can still get stolen/zapped. Best put them in your vault if you want to save up space in the lock slots (they should be safe in there). And technically no item is safe out in the open, though random events like stealing, zapping, etc. don't seem to happen that often (for me at least). I would just be more careful with super rare or expensive items. If you don't want anything to happen to any items, just put them all in your vault :)

Ah, I see. The only other thing is to open one or two--well, if you want to use the space(s) for other valuable items. Otherwise, I guess all other items could go in your vault. But the loyalty boxes will keep coming, so eventually you'll have to open one xD

- Yeah, that's the dilemma, will end up with a 'spare' within the next 6 months. The other items that were locked are items that need to stay in the inventory (lizard minion spray/trap), both now stuck in the vault as a temporary measure. Bit of an odd one that the loyalty boxes can't be put in the vault, with them still being vulnerable and extremely valuable.

You can lock 10 items with a gold account. If you lock those ten items and then lose your gold account the items will remain locked until you unlock them.

Still surprises me that with loyalty boxes users are effectively forced to lock or use them. Though I suppose staff have their reasons/logic.

You can simply not collect them anymore, at least the one due in six months. Just don't go to the options page and if you ever decide to use them a few years down the line, you can collect all the ones you missed at that time.

As to why, its so that the items cannot be sold because they are a reward for you, and you alone. The only way to make sure they can't be sold is to basically 'hide' them from the system.

Anyone know whether there's a way to pester staff, to know 100% that they can be stolen/zapped/etc? Especially as if what says about the options being unavailable due to the item being 'hidden' from the system. I know theres the ticket system, but not sure if that's the right place to ask.

A ticket would be a good place to ask that question, but I can tell you for a fact that if you leave the boxes unlocked, they will be vulnerable to getting zapped or stolen by an RE. It's happened to other users before.

I had a pet totem stolen by the Rotten Rogue. I'd deliberately left it unlocked in my inventory because I didn't want it. It took a couple of months, but it eventually happened. Also the bragging and complaining thread gets a complaint every once in a while about someone losing a loyalty box from either zapping or the Rotten Rogue. It definitely, 100% can happen.

You could try, but I don't think there's any way to have a particular item or class of items exempted from things like that. And because of how vaults are designed, there's no way to let you put something in your vault without also being able to put it in your shop. Maybe if/when vaults are revamped that will change, but I wouldn't count on that happening anytime soon.

- Pity, the inner workings of the vault system is not something I knew about, was going more on the fact different items had different options, not really counting on the fact vault=being able to sell. Thanks again, will have to work out some masterplan on what to use in future, heh.
