Can't search in shops?

I was searching for an item using the "Search Shops" link under Commerce, and every time I would click on a shop to buy the item it would say "Purchase Failed." Is there any way that you can get banned from searching by any chance? I just completed 10 or so quests which would equal to about 30 items in half an hour.

No you can't be banned for searching too much. I vaguely remember seeing a bug report about this recently, but can't find it again.
