i remember that every year around christmas the free shop gives out free gifts that you can get every five minutes or so. when will that start up?

The Free Shop isn't a guarantee. If and when it should start giving out items, they'll surely make a news post announcing it.

I really hope they open it soon, I loved to get cool items from there.
