It sounds really gross, but sucking the snot out of their noses. When my son was an infant he got a REALLY bad cold, and to help him breathe the doctor gave me this baster-like thing to suck the snot out of his nose. It made this gross sucking noise, and he would freak out and scream until he turned all hot and red. But I loved doing it. XD
