Well, I assume you are female. If wrong, please correct me. In any case, you might want to try looking for somebody who needs a nanny in exchange for free room and board. I did this for a while and it worked out well until I switched schools. I did stay with the mother for a few months while not in school, but that was before classes began, as she needed somebody pronto. But that is my two cents.

Edit: Also, shop sales. Always plan your shopping trips, clip coupons and hit the sales as soon as possible. Avoid the things you know you don't need like that super cute top or the double stuf Oreos. Instead, focus on things like basic socks and undies and milk and bread. Trust me, it will save you money in the long run.
