So, like. I had my friend over for a sleepover the other day. It was basically a surprise for her, and since she came right from school she didn't have any bags or anything. She didn't really care that much about it, except the fact she didn't have a toothbrush.

And she was like, genuinely worried. I was just like, "dude, we have extra toothbrushes." and she was like, "oh! Thank god!"

after noticing my weirded out expression, she explained that she is a total freak about dental hygiene, and she cannot go a night or morning without brushing. She even tells me a story about one day when she was younger, she lost her toothbrush and asked her mom if she could use hers. Obviously, her mom said no. After her mom left the room, my friend became desperate and brushed with her mom's anyway. And I was like... uh... ew.

So I was wondering if anyone else... eh... loves dental hygiene? I've never really cared for it... I mean, I brush every night and day, but only 'cause I have to (I have braces - if I don't brush, my teeth will be discolored) In fact, I remember back when I was younger (7 - 8 years old), I went, like, two months without brushing. ...yeah. Got a lot of fillings that year... So, uh, anyone? Anyone? :P

I do brush my teeth, and I try to do it every day. If for some reason I can't, though, like if I don't have a toothbrush handy, I'm not going to want to die because I can't brush my teeth. xD I can live. Also, I'm trying to get into the habit of flossing but I hate to do it because... well, I got my teeth worked on, and the dentist kinda fucked up, so the floss gets snagged onto a tooth or two and it's really annoying... plus, it hurts to floss and my gums always bleed. x.x But I'm trying to do it, because I know it's a healthy thing to do.

What really bugs me, though, is another part of my teeth that the dentist fucked up... stuff always gets stuck in there, and it's always visible and it's hard to get out, so regardless of how well I brush, if I eat something red or blue or something that makes things change colors in your mouth, that tooth will catch it and it'll look stupid. sigh

I hate teeth.

I HATE brushing my teeth. Most of the time, I don't even use toothpaste. In my opinion, its just a waste of time. If I wasn't told to brush my teeth, I never would. I just HATE it. But I've never had a cavity

I brush my teeth after I get up and before I go to sleep. Sometimes I'll brush after I've been eating sugary stuff. I don't floss only because I had a very bad experience with flossing.

Everyone get ready to laugh at poor old me... I got floss stuck between my teeth and it took me about thirty minutes to get it free. Not fun and it hurt like hell. My teeth are crowded.

I have complete OCD when it comes to my teeth. I HAVE to brush at least 3 times a day if not more often. And yes, I floss... actually I have the nifty little hummingbird flosser thingie. :D

i just started brushing my teeth again after a loooong while.

it wasn't my fault! my old toothbrush had suddenly gone missing, and when i found it a few months later (seemingly hidden in the kitchen) it looked like someone scrubbed the toilet with it. :|

my dad bought me this new electric toothbrush with tons of strange bristles and massive cleaning action. it looks really painful - and it is.

my fillings are falling out (i have two tiny ones, i think), so two of my teeth are sensitive as hell. whenever i bite something chewy or brush those teeth, i pretty much end up writhing.

I feel so gross if I don't brush my teeth D: I whiten them pretty often, though (thanks in part to braces for like.. six years). I don't floss (unless I have a dentist appointment :P) and I have never had a cavity or anything.

I'm not a hygiene freak, but I do brush my teeth twice a day. I carry around a travel toothbrush wherever I go, It comes in handy sometimes. I've never had a cavity either, but I hardly ever floss.

The only bad part about my teeth is that they're not very white from braces, coffee and other stuff.

I am a hygiene freak when it comes to -everything-. I carry toothbrush, toothpaste and a mini bottle of mouthwash in my handbag -_- to avoid getting stuck somewhere overnight without.

I can't sleep if I forget to brush, I wriggle around and can't stop thinking about what I forgot to do... And then I remember and bolt out of bed (at whatever hour) and brush.

well if your not in good health now, things can get expensive. My mom's friend didn't really care for her teeth & braces, etc. when she was younger and so now she has to pay like $2500 for all of her crowns, cavities, fillings, and stuff like that.

BUT ME: i brush in the morning and at night, or if im getting ready to go somewhere and my breath smells bad if i dont have any gum. but its hard to floss with braces. i only floss twice a week :/

Oh, right. Flossing. I don't like doing that either. What with my braces and swollen gums, it takes quite a while. Lots of blood, too. Not pretty.

With my braces, I'm s'posed to brush after /every/ meal and /every/ sugary snack. I'm just like, geez. Won't I scrape off some enamel or something brushing so frequently? :P

I brush my teeth when I wake up. That's it.

I'm really lazy about little things, so I'm definitely not a neat freak. The only reason I brush my teeth is that I don't want any more than the one cavity I had, or to have embarrassing bad breath like this girl in my class. :x
