Okay, I want to buy an extra pet slot, just one. But I don't want a gold account... Is this possible? I tried reading it on the wiki but it confused the hell out of me.

It is not possible. To get one pet slot only, you need a Mystical Montre Plushie. Bit, to use this Plushie, you need a Gold Account. So, Gold account I'm afraid.

You only have 5 pets now. You can get a GA medal for $5 and that will allow you to make 5 more pets. Much cheaper then the plushie route.

Basically it breaks down like this:

Slots 1-5 are free for everyone. Slots 6-10 are free if you have a gold account Slots 11-20 can only be obtained if you have 10 pets, you have a gold account and you use a plushie.

In addition it should be mentioned, that you can let end your gold account and still keep the additional pet. You just should not abandon any of your pets after your GA ended, as you cannot add more then 5 pets to a normal account, even if you had more then five before. If you want to add more then a fifth pet to your account again, you need to purchase a gold account again too.
