Well heres natural selection at its finest. Across the road from my house is a group of older male teens, about 17-18 years old. And for some reason that I cant understand there are climbing the telephone pole, using the yellow guide wires...which is not exactly the smartest thing to do. The guide wires hold the telephone pole up, and if the guide wires get loose...goodbye telephone pole...plus once they get up there, theres a live wire, which if they touch they`ll get electrocuted. Which would truly be a 'Shocking' experience, would it not? :P

They keep daring each other to climb higher, and I just keep waiting to see which one of them is the lucky one to touch the live wire...

I know, eh? That pretty much says it all. Certainly not all older male teens are like this, but people have to admit...there are a lot of stupid ones...and it`s amazing they've lived this long...XD

If I were you, I'd sit outside and watch them whilst chanting, 'TOUCH THE WIRE! TOUCH THE WIRE!'

Being in the fire department, I have seen some of the finest group of people that should not be allowed to breed and if I were to tell more stories, we would be here all night long. So, heres one story that will make you cringe a little bit:

A few months ago, I got called to a small fire in someone's driveway. When we got there, this older guy was sitting down and crying. Turns out, he had been cooking dinner with a small propane grill. He ran out of propane, so he decided to use kerosene, cause thats like the samething right? eye roll So, he went to start it, causing it to explode. He total injuries included: 3rd degree burns on his stomach, chest, arms, hands, thighs, penis and testicles. That's why he was crying. Oh, and the next day, we had a different guy decide he wanted to comment suicide, so he drove to his ex wife's house, dumped gasoline all over himself and light himself on fire. After being on fire, he decided that he didn't want to go out that way, so he rolled around in the snow to put himself out. He lived, but he is prolly wishing he was dead. I don't know why we had two people light themselves on fire in less than 24 hours apart, but I truly believe in natural selection

Yes. If you just touch one wire, there's no where else for the electric current to go out, so you're fine. But if you are touching the wire AND something else, you're dead.

And omg. :( I feel bad for the people who lit themselves on fire, but I couldn't stop myself from giggling a bit. The sheer stupidity of some people...

my friend's boyfriend decided that it would be really, really fun to make and set off drain-o bombs. one went off while he was making it, and now he's got a ton of chemical burns.

Anyone ever heard of the Darwin Awards? It's an award for stupid people who kill themselves accidentally and they get 'awarded' for removing themselves from the gene pool. I shouldn't really laugh about it but it's quite funny to read how people have accidentally killed themselves.

I usually have the honor of witnessing my siblings in carrying out their brilliant ideas. Nothing quite as stupid as climbing telephone poles though.

Well, I couldn't think of anything until I just heard it happening...

There are some boys who LOVE to drive up and down my road on dirt bikes and four-wheelers. They enjoy popping wheelies as they pass my house. Not sure if they're doing it to impress me, or if they just do it for the hell of it, but it's incredibly annoying because the bikes are soooo damnnnn LOUDDD.

One of these days, one of them is going to flip over or wreck or something and they're going to get seriously injured, because they're stupid enough to drive really fast up and down the road and pull off some "sweet trickz" without protective gear. I'm waiting for it. It will happen.

I don't think so, ever seen birds on the telephone wires? They dont' get electrocuted because they're not touching the ground. Unless they're touching something that can conduct electricity well they probably wont' get shocked. If they're touching the wood pole or something, they'll get a little shock and fall to their death but not electrocuted to death. Pretty funny though :D
