I am looking to buy my first new car, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
I drive a honda accord manual right now, and really like it, but it's a '93, and has definitely seen better days.
Also, anyone have a hybrid? If so, what do you think of it?
I bought a Nissan as my first car and it runs amazingly.
Its older, a '98 Sentra but its one of the safest cars I could have gotten. I think a little older is better although not always the popular choice... if you run out and buy a new car as your first, you're stuck buying NEWER cars forever to top it.

I plan on using my car through grad school and I have no doubt it will last that long.
I would suggest getting an older BMW 318. The only reason the one my dad has doesn't run anymore, is because it t-boned another car and was totaled. It was reliable and never gave any grief. It also got decent gas milage at 'bout 30 MPG. It could also be wound up tight and was fun to drive. Safe too. The car saved my dad's life. The only injury he sustained was a cracked sternum at 50 MPH. Get one that is a '95 or newer because they came with airbags. That would have prevented the sternum injury.
Silence is golden... Duct tape is silver.
Most of what I've driven have been mini vans, with the exception of a '02 Toyota Echo. I love the little thing, it's zippy and handles well, and is running great despite the huge amount of miles we've piled on it, a tree limb falling on it and being in a minor collision when some dumbass who was blinded by the sun decided to pull out into 4 lanes of traffic right in front of us. Hardly got banged up at all, and you'd expect a little car like that to crumple into nothingness after something like that.
And despite being small, it's very roomy. My Dad is 6'3", and has no problems driving it.
