I wasn't sure where to put this since it isn't exactly a web design problem. I loaded up my Sims game, but it froze. So I went to the task manager and ended the task. It ended, and I restarted my computer. Now, my browser, desktop, all my settings are game sized, but my settings are all the same as they were before I put my game in. I've restarted a few times and tried messing around with my settings but there is no change. Right now, my screen is HUGE but it's at the lowest setting. If I make the setting larger, I have to do a lot of scrolling to read anything. Any help would be appreciated.

And I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong place. I've tried Sims help forums, but everyone is very slow to reply and I don't know what else I can do to fix this problem.

That's normal temporarily (as most games need to change your resolution) but it shouldn't have had a permanent effect.

Try uninstalling the game (don't worry, you can choose not to delete all the data for your characters etc in The Sims) and reinstalling it.

i'll try that. i'm backing up everything and going to uninstall AL and reinstall it. for some reason, i'm having a ton of problems with CC not showing up. i have 10K items but none of it is showing up in my game even though i've disabled and re-enabled it. sooo many problems >|

Hmm, what operating system are you running and how old is your computer? It could be a problem with your graphics card...

i fiddled with the settings more and got it back to normal. i uninstalled the latest game before doing that and now things seem ok. i don't think i'm going to re-download it! stupid AL...everyone else seems to like it but it has caused nothing but problems for me.
