Sorry guys, I just need to get this off my chest...
Today, we had a huge event at my school. It was all outdoors, with lots of food and games. I spent three hours in the morning helping my friend set up her booth, and then spent another three hours touring the rest of the event and manning the booth, getting supplies, and whatnot.
Anyways. This evening, I was sitting on the couch, completely sunburned, completely exhausted, and my dad walks in and asks me to go for a walk with him.
I say, "No thanks, Dad."
He says, "Are you sure, You REALLY need the exercise."
I think this is the part where I would say FML.
My dad does that a lot =_=
I hate it. I mean, I'm not THAT fat! x.x
Dang, that sucks. I don't sunburn, but I played baseball for 6 years and haven't for a year afterwards. Then, today I instructed my sister on how to play. I then decided it was a bright idea that if she hit a ball I run a lap 'till she gets 3 outs. She hit the darn ball 7 times. So I ran 7 times. I'm tired.
edit: After that I had to go across the yard twice to get the mail.
Silence is golden... Duct tape is silver.
Dad's just don't get it. xD
My dad does that too.
Hehe, well, I'm glad to know I'm not alone. That makes me feel 100% better!
hugs
I probably walk a mile a day getting to school and back and I lost nearly two stone in January when I had flu for three weeks so...I can't get moaned at =].
"Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone."
Maybe he doesn't feel that you are fat, but you're just sort of inactive? lol.
One time for dinner I offered to eat bits that no one else wanted because I was pretty damn hungry. First thing my step-mom says? '.... not a good idea, because some people can't fit into their pants...' I immediately just shut up. :/ Really, I wanted to yell at her 'excuse me, but i can still fit my pants thank you very much. :3 now please tuck in that flab of belly with the c-section scar instead of letting it hang out your belly shirt. you're not that skinny either!' I hate it when parents/step-parents decide to get snarky.
My mom does that to me all the time. I go on a walk with my brother almost everyday (he has autism). So whenever I tell Mom that I don't want to go on a walk, she tells me I need the exercise. I hate that.
My dad used to call me fat. Now I lost the weight and he got a beer gut. So now I get to do the same to him. We're not a very nice family, lol.
wow... that's harsh. =/
on the topic -- i think parents may know more than kids and perhaps they know what it is like to be grown up. perhaps they know that good habits start young... and that it is extremely difficult to break bad habits when you are older.
i really think some kids are a bit inconsiderate to their parents.
