Ok, I have my ISS, and I finally know what my new name will be, but my daughter just posed the question - What if someone wants to send me something, and they don't know that I've changed my name? What will happen to the item, and is there some way of letting my friends know about the name change, short of smailing/commenting them?

Does anyone know?

I believe if you click on the item to use it, it gives you a big paragraph about the changes.

And don't worry, you'll still have the item and don't need to use it right then

I'm pretty sure the only way is to comment/sMail them. However with our new 'buddies online' feature, you could update your status and that might take care of it. (; Might also post a note on your profile and/or signature.

Thanks for your help - Anna was right. There was a big paragraph, and one of the things that it said was that my old username would still be on my profile.

Only problem is, when I search my old name, it doesn't come up at all, and I don't see it on the profile.

I guess the smart thing to do would be to smail or comment all my old friends as Emily suggested.
