From the FAQ:

How many pets can I have?

Normal accounts can have up to 5 pets. Gold Accounts can have up to 10 pets.

Then you can have up to an additional 10 more pets (for a total of 20 pets) with the use of the Mystical Montre Plushie (gives one space) or Mystical Donadak Plushie (gives two spaces). The plushies can be purchased from the Cash Shop, or from other users in the Trade Center or Auctions.

NOTE: The plushies will only provide extra pet spaces for those who have already filled up the 10 pets slots from having a Gold Account. You can activate the additional slots using the plushies without having a Gold Account but you will need to have an active Gold Account in order to fill any of the additional pet spaces.

The plushies DO disappear after you have used them for extra pet spaces.

As per standard, you can have up to 5 pets (though there are some ways to gain more pet slots) at any one time It doesn't matter how long you've been on.

Becoming a Gold Member gives you more pet slots, and you can use cash shop credits to get special items that will get you more pet slots,

At the top it should say You have 0 Cash Shop Credits under your sP amount. Just click the zero
