My situation: I'm turning 19 next month, and never ONCE have I ever had a date, let alone a boyfriend. I'm always reassured by friends and family members (who've ALL had more than one relationship) that I'll one day find that "someone". But here I am, a fledgling adult, and I've not had ONE relationship in my entire life. "Yeah, I don't care if it'd last only a month or two, at least I actually HAD a relationship!" I'd say. But where do I stand? Is this common, or am I a lost cause?

I don't think you're a lost cause, no. You'd be surprised at how many people haven't done things like that at the age of 19. If you're really ready for it then you have to go out looking! Talk to friends about anyone they may know who is single and possibly looking. I'm sure they'll hook you up. :p And if you're not ready then there really isn't a problem with that either. It's not like there's a rule that says you have to have a date by the time you're 20.

Nah you aren't. And like Rhiannon, I have a friend who is turning 24 this August and she hasn't have any boyfriend let alone a date too. :)

And shouldn't you worry about that when you are having a middle age crisis... let's say when you are in your 40's? It's cool to be single sometimes :D

Bah, don't fret about it :) Both me and my boyfriend were 19 before any of us got involved with someone. In my case it was location; I lived in a small out-of-nowhere town and didn't like anyone :p

Don't worry about it, find a date when you're comfortable or when you feel like it, otherwise, keep your school grades up so you can have a stable job for nice dates later.

Eh, it's not that big of a deal, really. At least you haven't been heartbroken by a bunch of jerks. xD But... have you tried making the first move? Because if you sit around and expect someone to come to you, you may not get anywhere... you might have to go to them for anything to work out. Just be yourself, meet new people, and you definitely will find someone worth your time. =) Good luck!
