I've adopted them before, but I'm not sure you can actually make them :P I recall someone saying you can only create pets with spaced names if they where a certain species... I'm not sure if it's true

You can. I don't think the species matters. I've made a ton of names with spaces.

I think the only rule is that you can't put a space at the beginning or end of a name. I remember a while back all pets with spaces at the beginning or end of their name had their names changed into a jumbled mess of numbers and letters, because it messed with the linking or something like that.

Spaces in the middle of two letters/numbers/underscores/whatever are perfectly fine though. I'm not sure if the above rule is still in effect or not.

Maybe mail an UA about it ?

Bleh, I remember that, Blir. Four or Five of my pets had glitched names, it wasn't fun.

Anywho, I don't think there's any limits as to what you can put into a name. One of my pet's entire name is a special character (Ø, which I have NO idea how to type and have to copy and paste it every time), and I just created Terra'wyn.

Yeah, a space is fine as long as it isn't at the start or end of the name.
