I burnt my left hand yesterday making chocolate chip cookies here at home. My mother failed to inform me that the one oven mitt in the drawer was no longer insulated, therefore I threw it on and grabbed the cookie sheet in the 400 degree oven. It was delightful x_x

Bionic hand <3 I'd never have to be careful getting things out of the oven again...

i hate that! we had an old mitt that had a little hole near one of the fingers. needless to say it caused some srs pain.

Very sorry for your hand. :( That is not why ILU right now. I have many ditz moments where I try to grab and move a pan I took out of the oven mere seconds ago, to make room for another pan, or thoughtlessly grasp hot pot handles because .5 of my cookware is insulated, and .5 of it is not. After cooking for as long as I have, I have "asbestos fingers", where the burn callouses are so thick, most little kitchen incidents are easily ignored.

BUT +1000 WINZ for Farscape slang reference. Like, seriously. Your hand is alright because crackers don't matter. ;3 Ch-yeah?

LOL :D I don't remember much of anything about it any more. Just "frell" stuck with me lol. They need to start showing Farscape again on SciFi. Loved it.

Frell is what we call my daughter :P Cause when she was little, she called her uncle Cameron "Frameron", and then we all started calling her "Frelly". And then that got shortened to "frell".

And that's the whole reason I came into this thread :P

And. Ouch. I'm always afraid to use those little silicone hot pads, because they just don't look thick enough to save me :P

Haha, aww. Yesterday, in cooking... my friend was cooking bacon.. and the fat sizzled and splattered onto my hands and my face, as well as hers. It was sooo bad on my hand :( I still have a burn.

I'm sorry :( that sucks so bad. Put burnt hand under running cold water (as cold as you can stand) for 20 minutes (if you can stand -that-) says my father the chemistry professor :)

I was baking one day and this seriously klutzy friend of mine was gonna take them out of the oven. After placing them on a plate he waved the baking tray around (WHY) and burned me on my arm D: I still have a scar. Damn him.
