The transition to digital art is a ROUGH one, for sure. It's an entirely different medium and you really have to re-learn everything.

The most important piece of advice I can give you is to figure out how to use 'layers' and the 'multiply' setting. I would even go as far as saying that without using layers, there's no difference between digital and traditional art except for the 'undo' button. :B

The next most important piece of advice I can give you is to google things like 'digital art tutorial' or 'photoshop tutorial' (or whatever you use), try them out, and just get used to what your program can do. That way when you want a certain look you already know something about how to achieve it.

That's what I did anyway. :B

I think working on your HA could be quite fun and entertaining. :3

However, if someone comes along with a completed form first, they will get the slot.

There will be a lot of opportunities, as I'll open that slot up just as soon as I get done each commission.

UNI, I quite appreciate the advice ^_^ Yeppers, I've already gotten a jump on all of the basics. I've fiddled a bunch, and I do love layers (too bad they're not in Trad :P). I've discovered the ways of Pathes, and I have fun with how smooth line art is with them. Filters are great for an added boost of texture and special effects. And my favorite, opacity is a subtle beast that is quite snuggly. Ne, the advice I seek is more of ripened experience and an art collaboration of sorts. An art pen pal if you will. :)

Anywho, I'll be here all day. Don't worry, I've been fed today ;p

You've got some pretty awesome anthro goin on!

I'm still not 100% sure what I'm looking for in a 'tutor', so I'll hold off on any commitments at the moment. Let me get fished with some works and I'll think more about seeking out someone to help me polish my skills. I've thought about it, and who I'm really looking for is an art instructor. So, I'll just save up and hunt for some art classes...
