I really really really love that movie. I've seen it about 500 times. I've read the book and memorize all the words. I dont care if they are gay and there are a couple raunchy sex scenes in there but the story and passion between them (Jake and Heath) is just amazing. Plus, Jake Gyllenhaal is my favorite actor and the sexiest man alive (in my personal opinion) and Heath Ledger is just a god.
What do/did you think of the movie personally?
It's was a awesome movie ,one of the only that can make me cry. I've readed the book too , fairly good and well writed too , but I prefered the movie. Also I think it's just a universal love story , even if they are gay. Come on , they are gay , so what ? Love is love no matter the age , sex , or color :)
Exactly. Thanks for not being a harsh critic. Whenever I even mention Brokeback Mountain, people are like "ewww NASTY!", when they have never even seen or understood the love story. And the book isnt as good because there are no pictures of Jake (Jack). But the book was more descriptive, wow.
The saddest bit in the whole film for me is at the end when Ennis is holding Jack's shirt in Jack's bedroom. I literally bawl at that part. ;_;
I feel the movie was over-rated as well, but I really liked that movie. I think/thought Heath was a good actor, but honestly-the only reason people suddenly became fans of him and think he is so amazing is because he died, and that's sad. It's sad that it takes death for people to start paying attention.=/
Heath is/was a good actor, but not like OMG AMAZING. But-he was young, and I think he could have been an incredibly amazing actor.
But as for the movie, I loved it, and watched it a couple of times. It was sad. I've heard alot of people say things about it-but nobody ever pays attention to the details, or the story. They just go off about them being Gay.=/ Close minded people, bleh.
Yea I know. But I was really shocked when someone said that to me on MSN. I thought she was like joking. I didn't now why she would do that though.
I like Brokeback Mountain too. I can't name myself a fan of Heath but I certainly realy liked him. He was talented.

Actually, he was OMG AMAZING! His role in Candy was amazing. 10 things I hate about you, Casanova, The Dark Knight, etc. AMAZING. He was better than any other guy. He had more than just potential. He was a god.
I did like Brokeback Mountain though, one of my favorite movies. An amazing story, it kept my attention through the whole thing and though a bit over-rated because of Heath being in it, it was still very, very good. Worth the buy, and re-watchable.

Well of course he had flaws, thats one reason he had taken so many pills to get rid of his stress and the leading of his fatal death. EVERYONE has flaws, even gods have flaws. But his acting skills made him an "acting" god. you get it?
