Pretty sure Keith took away the limit in the bank for accounts over a certain age (yours would be old enough to bypass the limit I bet). It used to be 700m.

I'm glad I found this thread as my bank account is already in what I previously thought was the danger zone. I've been a member for 4 years 6 months and change, so with luck I should be safe.

Wow. I doubt I'll ever have that much sP at once. I'm such a spontaneous spender. Heck, I'm trying to get to 200mil and am having issues with that :-P

From what I heard, the limit for most accounts is about 1.4 billion sP; 700mil in the vault and 700mil onhand. I hadn't heard that elder accounts don't have that limit, though. plays The More You Know jingle x) From what I understood, the sP limit/exploding account thing was set up to safeguard against cheaters. If you got that much sP, your account would ''explode'' and be shut down temporarily so staff could check it to make sure you didn't cheat to get that much. Like, abusing weird glitches and shit. :

Can we get a staff member on this board to actually tell us what the limit is? If it's 1.4b I'm dangerously close to exceeding it and would rather know ahead of time to quit selling things.

You can definitely fit more than 700m in vaults. I know that much.. Not sure about on hand. I haven't had all of my SP on hand in months.
