Actually, there have been hints that the event will not happen again next February. It was an epidemic, what are the odds that an epidemic, once cured, will occur again exactly a year later? ;)

But you never know.

Diseases mutate, especially horribly magical ones. The mojo that cured you one year may not work the next, just like the flu shot.

If they don't repeat it, then they will have to do a lot more drawing if they do anything special for valentine's next year. There's still fun and enjoyment in the Masquerade and Vesnali items, but part of this is that you can't get anymore Trinkets or Coins, while the Skitters' is still open.

Me, I'm hanging onto my Shrunken Heads and my Doctor's Mask for next January, just in case.
