I want to get rid of one of my pets, and get a different one (terrible, I know xD) but I currently don't have a gold account. Will I be able to adopt?

EDIT: I have used a Mystical Plushie, would that change anything?

No. You will have to get a GA again if you want to adopt a pet because you have more than 5.
