Ugh I know I tend to be sensitive and dramatic but I am really angry and I need someone to vent to. If you were me what would you do. I was married last year Sept. 12,2008 and I paid a photographer to do the wedding. We had a signed agreement etc... about what we were suppose to get. The agreement said I would receive ALL of the photos taken on a disc (3,000 photos), 100 retouched for print quality, a slideshow with music, and a photoalbum with a couple hundred photos in it.
So now it's almost a year later and this lady still hasn't given me all my photos on a disc... which is the only way that i can reproduce them, which was part of the agreement and she's playing games with me.
What would you do? I'm really tempted to take her to court... I mean she has pictures of memories that I can NEVER get back!!
Threaten her with legal action first, if there's still nothing then take her to court.
Or you could threaten to tarnish her professional name by writing to a local paper saying exactly what's happened. :o
The paper and all of that is a good idea. I think my biggest problem is though. I have actually known this lady for a long time and I'm afraid she has accidentally deleted them or something and just not told me.
She doesn't make very much money, she has a daughter, overall she's a pretty sad story. She is a professional photographer. The thing is I just want my pictures... I don't want to hurt her, I don't want to slander her name.
I mean I have threatened her with legal action now and she sent me discs but they weren't the right ones. So I'm almost convinced the real pictures are gone so I just don't know what the right thing to do is. I mean they are memories I can't ever ever get back the money I paid her isn't even close to being worth what the pictures were so I mean I'm not sure that I have anything to gain by taking her to court.
Having the local paper write an article about it will just make me look like an ass and hurt her. I mean it's really just a spiteful thing to do... again I don't have anything to gain from it.
