Does this event still exist? It's been a long long time since the last time I've seen it... so I was wondering if it might have been removed or something?

I've never seen it in the time I've been playing and never seen anyone complain of it so I think it's safe to say it's been disabled.

It was one of those lovely "destroys one item in your inventory" type events, Ladyarah. Or at least I think so. I've never seen it either. :P

Rotten Rogue is a nasty little thief. The random event used to randomly steal something from your inventory, excluding discount cards.
