so i'm watching so you think you can dance with my mom and these two guys come on to dance ballroom
and my mom goes 'i can't watch this, it's just too much' i ask what, and she says 'there's just something not right about this'
and i'm like... what. apparently my mom thinks that ballroom dancing should JUST BE BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN. i'm like. mom. this isn't marriage. not that i believe marriage should be just between a man or a woman but that's beside the point
what the hell, lol :(

lol, XD i am with you on this I bet if one guy had on a wig and a stuffed bra you probably couldn't tell the difference
seixism sighs
D; It's.. just dancing? Really, how is two guys dancing together gonna hurt anyone? What if two ladies were dancing together? What then?
.....
She does know their are places where guys and gals are taught to ball room dance together right :P
Gay ball room dancing
i kind of agree with her unless one of the guys was wearing a big flurfy ballroom dress. it just doesnt look right unless there is a shiny flurfy dress
idgi either granted these two dudes weren't that good but i don't see the problem with two guys or two girls dancing with each other at all. i'm sure most people wouldn't have as much of an issue if it were two women, but w/e.
i just... couldn't get over 'it should be between a man and a woman' i'm sitting here like, 'mom you do know i'm gay
right it's not just me right :('

If balls touch, we all die.
Just the title of this topic made me sad. ):
It would be quite nice if people were a little more open.
my mom would say the same thing I bet
It's so annoying I try my best to never watch tv with her. She always has comments about how someone looks/acts and anything else she can nitpick at. I feel your pain like it were my own.

Haha. Reminds me of a friend of mine. We were doing this musical theatre thing and the girls were paired up together to dance.
He went "O.M.G. WHY ARE THE GIRLS DANCING TOGETHER?!?!"
In the end, because of him, we were forced to pair up with guys. |:
I know how you feel. D: My mom does the exact same thing.
heh i was eating dinner while my parents were watching it and my dad started off, "Menoi! Look at these queers!" and laughter ensued
my parents are just like that, though it does look different, i will admit. nothing wrong with it, though.
