Okay, so I found this artist who has a shop on here selling certain real-life items that I really liked. So I commissioned her to make me one and we agreed on my Jazz-Age ForHer Tiara as the price. She said it'd take a few weeks, and that was fine. So I waited about four weeks before I messaged her to see what was up. On her board, there was a message saying that a friend of hers was dying and in the hospital, and that she wanted to be there for him...totally understandable, so I told her to do that and not to worry about my order -just to get to it when she could. Now it's been about another month though, and I messaged her again, saying that if she didn't want to do the order anymore, that's okay, just give me my item back, and posted in her board, but I haven't gotten any response. I don't want to be a bitch about it, because I totally understand about her friend. The thing is, I already gave her the tiara as payment, which in retrospect was stupid I suppose. I don't know what to do now. I'd love to get the item I ordered, but it's been so long...
She doesn't have the thing on her profile where you can see if she's online I guess?
And I understand that she doesn't have time for Subeta when she's having problems irl, but she could have informed you I think.
I hate to say it, but it kind of sounds like you might be shit outta luck. :(
Is the artist still active on the site and just ignoring you or do they seem to have disappeared?
I just checked her thread and there are new pictures there, so I commented her again. She's definitely still active on the site. If I don't get a response from her this time, I hate to say I'm going to have to report this. Makes me feel like a bitch though...if the item in question wasn't worth so much, I'd just forget it.
Yeah, that's not right. I'd definitely report it. I hope you get it sorted out! It would be a shame to lose such a costly item because of someone's laziness. I can understand about her friend and all, but it doesn't take much to drop someone a smail saying "hey, i'm still working on your commish, haven't forgotten about you!"
