I was thinking of a story I wanted to write, and then I started thinking of these words and then the characteristics and how they could relate to people, and I came up with this poem:
Brown eyes for the ones who eat meat Blue eyes for the ones in the water Green eyes for the ones who eat the leaf Gray eyes for ones that soul-slaughter.
What do you think? I want to try to turn this into a story. Would you read it, and what do you think of the poem itself?

That reminds me of the really old picture books I once read.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear. I think?
The poem itself is pretty simple. ;o
Pretty simple in its self, but I could easily feed off this to get a plot, so I would read it if you write one.
The poem is very interesting, and I like the simplicity of it. I would definitely like to see where you would go with it.
Honestly, I was quite dis-interested when I read the first line. I've never been one of those people who like associating physical apperances to personal traits. The poem is also quite simple however I think you've got a general idea for a story that easily could be worked upon.
Perhaps your poem could be incorporated as a story told to children so they can "learn about the world." While the poem is certainly not my cup of tea I think the story would be interesting.
